ISM stands for Independent Study and Mentorship and is a program that gives students the opportunity to explore an interested career field. This rigorous course prepares individuals for the future business world ahead, teaching them everything from basic interview skills to important aspects about a certain field. During the fall semester, students spend their time developing a working resume, making contacts with professionals in their fields, and finding a mentor in their specific field. Then during the spring semester, students will focus on their mentorship and learn everything they can from their mentor and through the experience itself.
