Myself:
My name is Gowtham Katta and I am currently a senior at Liberty High School in Frisco, Texas and my field of interest is Cardiology. Since a young age I have always wanted to pursue into the field of medicine and attain a doctorate in the future. Cardiology was a field that interested me the most; the heart was just quite fascinating. The field of cardiology will not be dull or monotonous since new knowledge and intelligence can surface up anytime. Through my journey in ISM I hope to learn much more about the field of medicine and the environment that I will soon be a part of in the future.
My Mission Statement:
The amount of effort you put in determines how much you can achieve. Only through hard work and dedication are we able to fully succeed. My mission in ISM is to be an individual who inspires other people through my hard work and perseverance. Throughout my life I want to positively influence the people around me and the people who know me. I will show that anything can be made possible through hard work and commitment. The moment someone loses a grasp of what he hopes to achieve is the moment he will hit failure. I will show people the knowledge and accomplishments that I will gain from my experiences and hard work. I will work hard to show people that failure will not be an option as long as they put in effort and diligence to whatever they do.

I chose this quote because I feel that it will appropriately represent my journey through the ISM program and my journey through life. What Edison states is quite simple: failure does not mean that you should quit, rather it means that you are one step closer to your goal. I will face many obstacles while going through the ISM program this year, but as I overcome these adversities I will become one step closer to my own aspirations. Failure will not hold me back, but instead help me learn. This year in ISM I will make many decisions; some may benefit me while others may not, but every choice I make will lead me little by little to my goal.
